BOOM Audio Minute: “The Car Taser Scene”
In this 25 second clip of the film “Operation: Aunties,” the SFX sound needs to be on point to enhance the action in the scene. At BOOM, we go through our extensive SFX library to do the sound design. In this instance, “car seat shaking violently as person gets tased” was not exactly in the archives. Equipped with field recording gear, we foley the sound we need, do a little editing, EQ and some additional chair hits, and BOOM! Shaking seat done.
From there, all the rest of the sound is added for a full SFX pass. We bring in the dialogue, score, our completed sound design, mixed all elements in our 7.1.4 ATMOS suite while streaming Clearview Flex to the clients and BOOM! Final mix to air.
